WHAT A PRECIOUS GRIN~

Jordan enjoys sitting on Ga'ma's chair. Sometimes when I am having my 'quiet time' he crawls up either on my foot stool and reads a book, or clear up on my lap to tell me a secret or show me something.

A couple nights ago, Jordan came running into my room, very excited shooting his arm into the air with such force and excitement that it was nearly knocking him over exclaiming, Hallelujah over and over again! It was wonderful! He was then running back into the family room saying hey gorgeous to Amy.........

Jordan has to spend time in 'time out' every now and then - and one day he was pushing Mommy's buttons knowing he was not to push Ga'ma's lamp but he kept doing it, and so he visited the time out place. He knows he needs to say, "sorry." Well after being dismissed from there, he promptly picked up one of Emily's monkeys, went over to the lamp, and it was unbelievable to see: the monkey actually reached out his hand and touched the lamp! Then Jordan said with firmness, "Time out, monkey!" And off he went.

So, I think Jordan is getting the picture!

Jordan says complete sentences sometimes and Amy and I just drop our mouths open with amazement. He says alot of words and phrases. I said "Hi, honey" to him last night and he immediately repeated it back to me! Last night we were walking around the loop, and we went into the rec room. We came back out and were ready to leave. Jordan couldn't decide if he wanted to push the stroller, or ride in it, etc...and so Amy and I said, "okay, we are leaving" and began walking away, pushing the stroller. We looked back at him to see if he was running towards us not wanting to be left....and he was calmly sitting on the steps, contentedly sitting there, hands clasped, watching us walk away....Amy and I burst out laughing.

He always wants to be a helper. He can get into the frig now all by himself. Last night he came into my room carrying a whole gallon of milk and blopped it down on the rug! It was the skim milk instead of his! He wanted more milk in his sippy cup! "I do it." So, this am when I filled his sippy cup, he was the one who put his gallon of milk back into the frig.

He also, says "thank you" when he brings you something. So, his response is really what we would say back to him but I guess he is so used to hearing us say 'thank you' that he repeats it back to us - which is a very good thing! Like he will bring us our water, or cell phone, or plate of food and say to us "thank you."

He loves to put things in the clothes washer. He considers it a privlege if we say to him, "Jordan please put the clothes in the washer." He GLADLY helps us. We pick up things before vacuuming the rug, and so he will pick up clothes and run to the utility, throwing them up into the washer.

Oh the JOYS of 2 yr olds!
