"FAVORITE PART OF YOUR DAY"
Do you have a favorite part of your day? Something that pulls are your heart strings? It could be different for each of us:

maybe some of you just love hearing that alarm sound at 5 am
or some of you just love hitting the snooze button
some of you really love seeing the sun rise, or the sun set
some of you really like those fun treadmills
how about that time in your quiet chair, reading the Word, and drinking your coffee - I like that!
some enjoy watering their plants, and keeping the weeds out of their yard
I know some of you really enjoy blessing others and that is their favorite part of the day!
A ha! some of you think dinner time is the best of all!
for many of us, the special times, are when our children call us on the phone~yes, indeed!
or maybe soaking in your own hot tub at the end of the day~

Okay, Laura, what prompted this wacky blog posting? Well, I will tell you......this morning at 4 am, Jordan woke up calling to be covered up. So Grandma jumped up and went into his room. He is sitting up, waiting to be helped back to his pillow and covers. He loves being covered up by his blankets. I tucked him in, and kissed him, and whispered, "Jordan, Grandma loves you very much." In his half asleep voice, he sweetly says, "I love you, too, Grandma, very much."
Okay, now does that pull on any of your heart strings? Who cares that this happened at 4 am, or 2 am, or whenever!

It doesn't take a million dollars to be really blessed! It is the little things in our lives that are so very very precious. This past week was a hard but special week. It was wonderful to be together with my girls and others who are very special to me. My girls flew to Oregon from Alaska, Texas, plus those who are Idaho for the funeral of their Grandpa Powell. Thank you for praying for us! Lord Jesus, we are thankful for the endless hope we have in Jesus, rather than a hopeless end! We were touched by so many caring people, especially Dwight and Martha Cannon who truly gave from their hearts, by opening up their home for us to stay in. Let me tell you - every inch of that home is filled with love, and we made wonderful memories there! Just as we can't count the loving thoughts that God has for us as they outnumber the grains of the sand, so we can't really count all our blessings! We are rich in Christ!
Thank you, Jesus, for those favorite parts of our days, that you send 'special handling' to each of us!
